Besakih Temple Spiritual Healing Retreat
As promised our Besakih Temple Spiritual Healing Retreat experience is finally here.
Whilst we are still able to take our week long retreat guests on a sacred tour of Besakih Temple, post Covid, the individual personal healing experience with Shelly and the Mangku became no longer possible for us to facilitate within the temple.ย ย ย
In adapting to this, Shelly has created a weekend spiritual healing retreat for small intimate groups of six people, which will be held at the Mangkuโs newly completed Besakih retreat centre.
The retreat runs from Friday through to Sunday and includes:- Meditation, Sharing Circle, Group Energy Healing Process, Fire Ceremony-Agenihotra, a Welcome Gift and a Powerful Individual Healing with Shelly and the Mangku.ย Culminating in a Unique Personalisedย visit to and experience of the Mother Temple, Besakih.

Besakih Temple
Traditional Balinese clothing will be provided for your use for your visit to the temple. In this holy place, the wearing of these items is a ritual robing, a sign of respect, a tangible connection to the ancient energy of the temple, and a symbolic connection with the others in your group.ย
There are many levels to the Temple and many paths leading to them. The Mangku chooses the journey. Along the way he will stop to explain the significance of a level, a gateway or some specific architecture.
Two or three times during the visit you will be offered the opportunity for prayer and blessing.
The Mangku will inform you of the Gods who are being asked to bestow the blessing and the gifts they offer.ย This is so you can set your own intention and request. The ritual of the blessings includes burning incense, offering flowers, private prayer, and being anointed with holy water. They are simple and profound, and assist in clearing your mind and bringing peace to your soul.
The Mangku will also be praying for you, offering words of wisdom and insight and he will complete your journey with the gift of a traditional Balinese Benang Tridatu.
The Benang Tridatu is the tri-coloured red, black and white bracelet traditionally worn by the Balinese Hindu population. White represents purity and divinity, red symbolizes the creative life force or energy, and black stands for protection and power.
