If you scroll back through my Instagram to April 10, 2016, you’ll find a photo of me with Mangku Jati at Besakih Temple.
The caption reads that I had just received some beautiful and life-changing news — something I wasn’t yet ready to share.
That day, as we sat together in deep conversation, Mangku Jati received a vision.
In it, he saw clearly: I was to become a Mangku.
At the time, I could barely comprehend the magnitude of what he was telling me. But as he spoke, something undeniable stirred in my heart — a seed of truth was planted.
And even though I didn’t yet understand what it would require of me, I felt its quiet resonance.
What followed was a journey I could never have imagined — one of intense transformation, deep surrender, and profound healing.
To be made ready for such an honour, I had to walk through fire — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Over the years, that seed gestated.
It rooted itself through initiations of loss, awakening, devotion, and trust.
And slowly, quietly, it began to bloom.
In October 2024, Mangku Jati met with his Brahman — his teacher and guide.
In that sacred meeting, the Brahman confirmed the vision:
It is her calling. She is to become a Mangku.
Then, in November 2024, during our spiritual retreat, Mangku Jati — radiant with joy — took my hands and shared the news:
“The day has come. The vision is fulfilled.”
And so, on March 14, 2025, under the guidance of ancient ritual and deep ancestral blessing,
I was ordained as a Balinese Jero Mangku.
To this day, I remain in awe of the path that called me, the community that embraced me, and the spirit that continues to lead me.
I am humbled, honoured, and forever transformed.
